@NRA still has nothing to say

Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) has the right idea.

We have let the NRA bully our politicians and media for too long; they wore us down with their tactics and we have let them write the laws of the land for many years without any serious challenge. They have cowed Democrats and Republicans alike and have undone the will of communities across the nation with their demand that guns and ammunition should flow unchecked. But these loudmouths who have shouted our politicians and media into submission have had absolutely nothing to say since the tragedy in Connecticut yesterday. But guns have kept speaking. Here in Chicago, ten people have been shot since yesterday, and if you read the stories, you see they weren’t ‘gangbangers’ who were committing crimes, they were citizens living their lives. A shooter in an Alabama hospital was shot by police this morning. There was a murder-suicide in the lobby of the Excalibur casino in Vegas yesterday. That takes us well past the average of 27 deaths by gun a day in the US.

And all is silence from the NRA.I will not be silent anymore and I think that I’m not the only one.
The conversation is starting and we are going to be louder than a gun.
