Conservative Class Warfare

Say it loud and say it proud… or whisper in the night with a sheet over your head…

A millionaire governor cries ‘class warfare’. How is it not ‘class warfare’ when Republican senators refuse to take a fraction of the $700 billion bailout lavished on irresponsible Wall Street firms to keep the auto industry functioning and cite as their reason greedy union workers? How is not ‘class warfare’ when Republican mouthpieces spread lies and misinformation about the earnings of union workers?

Yeah, I didn’t really expect an answer.

I was thinking about 2003 earlier today. I was thinking how fun it would have been to have somehow known that in six years a Democrat from Chicago who was an African-American would be elected President. Oh, and his middle name was ‘Hussein’. It would have been great comfort in those days to have known that Bush and his neocon cabal would be so thoroughly repudiated. Truly, an epic Fail if there ever was one.

For some reason, people still listen to the raving nutbags. There are people out there who still take their opinion seriously. Here’s a link to my archive from 2003. I haven’t read any of that stuff in a long time, but I don’t have anything to hide. I will blindly put that up against anything Coulter, Limbaugh, O’Reilley, Hannity, Savage, or the rest of the right wing said in 2003. But then, they’re lying liars without any decency or dignity.

I make around forty four thousand dollars a year. I don’t have a college degree. I occasionally read Harpers and the Atlantic among others. I read National Geographic, New Scientist, Scientific American, and Discover Magazine monthly. I read Time, Newsweek, and US News & World Reports every week. I read the Chicago Tribune daily and regularly visit CNN.com, Salon.com, Media Matters and various other newsites in addition to being a lifetime subscriber to the Port Awesome news service. Do you think Sarah Palin, a millionaire celebrity, would consider me an elitist?
